What requirements must I meet?
Anyone who requires a prosthesis and does not have the resources to obtain it may benefit. However, the beneficiary must meet the following conditions:
your healthy stump
your other strong leg
your mind focused
Your stump should not have any open wounds, bleeding, or infections. In addition, the residual limb must be bandaged daily to reduce swelling.
Your other leg must be strong for proper rehabilitation. Get regular physical activity to stay healthy.
The adaptation process is a new experience, so you need to be ready and willing to overcome yourself and walk again.
How is the proccess?
If you want to request a prosthesis, the first step is to fill out the form. Then the process for the delivery of your prosthesis is developed as follows:
1. Enter the program
When you fill out the form, your information will be registered in our system.
2. Waiting time
You get on a waiting list; the time is usually 1 to 2 months. Be patient.
3. Appointment assignment
We will call you when the time comes to visit our service center.
4. Psychological session
You will meet with a psychologist to give you support and emotional guidance.
5. Physiatric evaluation
A specialist will evaluate your salud to offer you a service according to your needs.
6. Taking measurements
We will take the measurements of your stump to make an exclusive prosthesis for you.
7. Manufacturing
Your prosthesis will be ready the same day as your appointment. Super fast!
8. Delivery and adaptation
We deliver your prosthesis and you start your rehabilitation in our Adaptation Area.
